By constantly taking nature’s problem-solving capabilities and turning them into scalable products, we aim to lead the transition to more advanced ways to deal bacteria and virus. NordShield CiTex® is derived from citric acid, hindering microbes by the creation of a surface that is inhospitable to bacteria. Citric acid is a common food additive and poses no environmental concerns.
What’s the point?

Why should textiles be heavy metal-free?
Sure, heavy metals are effective against bacteria.
However, according to studies* 10-90% of the silver used in textiles is washed out with wastewater after only 10 washes.
